The Campaign: The Entertainer Day Out
The Brand: The Entertainer, established in 2001, is the leading provider of buy one get one free incentives across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. With a vast portfolio and a wide selection of quality merchant partners, the Entertainer has something to offer everyone and is regarded as an essential annual purchase for thousands of local residents and tourists.
The Idea: Although well know in South Africa, The Entertainer needed some footwork to be done in the Johannesburg region to create more awareness around the brand and its offerings. With this in mind The Entertainer hosted five of Johannesburg’s most popular bloggers and social media personalities for a day and a night to show them the city. The influencers shared their day live on their social media channels and later on their blogs.The social media personalities used were 2 Summers, Complete Disbelief, Lulama Wolf, She Said, and We-Are-Awesome.
The Results: In just one week The Entertainer was able to increase it’s brand awareness over a number of different age groups and truly showcase what The Entertainer App is capable of in a previously unexplored market. On the day of the campaign over 5000 people were engaged.
