The Campaign: Chicken Licken Loop in conjunction with Network BBDO
The Client: Chicken Licken has been serving the best fried chicken in South Africa for over 35 years now. They are known in the market not only for their good food but for their adventurous and quirky style of advertising that has set them apart from all other food chains.
The Idea: Chicken Licken is all about the craving and how once you’ve tasted their hotwings you’ll be wanting them all the time. With the help of four well-known influencers namely Matthew Mole, Shortstraw the band, Lalzola Gola and Dusty Rich we highlighted their Chicken Licken obsession via their social media channels i.e. Instagram and Twitter. Their followers witnessed them going through the Chicken Licken drive-thru three times in a row, within the space of an hour to fulfil their craving. This mechanism also mimicked the Chicken Licken TV advert that was airing at the time.
Golden facilitated the management of the influencers in the campaign.
Chicken Licken was able to increase their visibility across Instagram and Twitter as well as create a stir online as fans of the influencers were all wondering what was going on and well as trying to get to the drive-thru to see their favourite local celebrities.
